The collection has been collated for over two years from 2010 -2012. The shopping list are a social commentary on what the public are consuming for this time period within our digital age. There are some funny hand written shoppings lists, along with some extremely creative ones.

The peep magazine shopping lists also to give you a look into the peoples lives as they are getting on with their daily lives. This could be parties, movie nights or dinner dates. You get a real sense of the individuals or families that are compiling their shopping lists in and around Newcastle upon Tyne. I’m sure there are also some ‘suspect ones’ within the collection, but I guarantee they have not been doctored by the team, here at peep.

We often wonder if looking back at this independent publication of rare limited edition shopping lists publication, what will it actual mean ? Will the brands be still here, or will there be new companies selling the same shopping products. Who knows.

This peep magazine rare collection special edition consists of photographs of the actual shopping lists, that were glued into a bounded wedding portfolio book. The wedding portfolio book was also found on a shelf in Tesco, Jesmond Acorn Road. I often think it was left by a student wanting to create some kind of scrap book or portfolio.

We then compiled the shopping lists into every page of the book and then photographed this for the digital peep publication.
